Earning College Credit in High School

As a high school student in a CTE program, you have the opportunity to earn college credit for some of the classes you are taking in high school. Listed below are ways to earn this credit:

ARTICULATED CREDIT – By identifying comparable coursework, your high school has partnered with local colleges to create agreements that give you FREE COLLEGE CREDIT for the high school classes you are taking that have equivalent content as college classes.

WATCH the short video below to see how easy it is to apply for this credit!

Other Credit Opportunities

DIRECT CREDIT/CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT – Students earn college credit by taking college level courses taught by credentialed instructors at their high school. There is a fee associated with this type of credit

These credit opportunities help create a smooth transition from high school to college without having to duplicate courses and lose valuable time in earning your degree

EARLY COLLEGE is another way that students can earn college credit while still in high school. By committing to an extra year of high school, students can earn up to 60 transferable credits.
